Welcome to a Highway 29 Creative LLC doing business as Tasting Merchants (“Tasting Merchants,” “we” or “us”) website, social media page, application, blog, alert, or other communication service (each individually a “Platform” or “Service” and collectively “Platforms” or “Services”).  This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, protect and otherwise process your personal data when you interact with us through this Platform and in connection with our Services.

At Tasting Merchants, we know you care about your personal privacy and about the terms and conditions that govern your use of our Platforms and Services. Because we are dedicated to serving your needs and respecting your preferences, we have adopted the policies and practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use. Please note that other Highway 29 LLC and Tasting Merchant Platforms or Services may have different privacy practices. In those cases, we will display a different privacy policy that applies when you interact with that Platform or Service.

We may provide supplemental privacy notices on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you. Those supplemental notices should be read together with this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect About You

We may collect information you choose to provide to us through this Platform or our other Platforms or Services, as well as through other sources, such as joint marketing partners; social media platforms; from people with whom you are friends or otherwise connected on social media platforms; and from other third parties.

We do not knowingly collect or store personally identifiable information from individuals under the age of 21 as more fully described below. We do not knowingly collect or store personal data about parties or individuals located outside of the United States as more fully described below.

Other information we collect

Like many other platforms, we collect information about our users’ utilization and navigation of our Platforms. This information helps us to design our Platforms and Services to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Platforms, analyze trends, track visitor movements, and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences. Cookies, Web Beacons, etc. We as well as certain third parties that provide content, functionality, or services on our Platforms, including, but not limited to our websites and email communications, use a variety of technologies to learn more about how people use our Platforms.

-Please note that any information you post to public areas of a Platform or Service, such as on our social media pages or in a blog, may be seen by other visitors.

Third-Party Content, Functionality and Services

Some of the content, functionality, and services on the Platforms may be provided by third parties that are not affiliated with us.  For example, on our Platforms or in our communications we enable you to share certain materials on Platforms (including, but not limited to, our websites or social media) with others through third party services or entities such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.  These third parties may collect or receive certain information about your use of the Platforms including through the use of cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies.  These third party services or entities may collect this information over time and combine it with information collected from different websites and online services.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third party services or entities.

Minors’ Information

Our Platforms and Services are not directed to, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 21. Individuals under the age of 21 should not use our Platforms or Services or provide personal information to us through this Platform or our other Platforms or Services.  We do not knowingly collect or store personally identifiable information about individuals under the age of 21, unless permitted or required by law.  If we learn that we have collected personally identifiable information from an individual under the age of 21, we will delete that information from our database unless otherwise required by law. Any order attempted to be placed by or shipped or delivered to an individual under the age of 21 is void.

Visitors From Outside the United States

Our Platforms and Services are not directed to, or intended for use by, parties or individuals located outside of the United States. Parties or individuals located outside of the United States should not use our Platforms or Services.  We do not knowingly collect or store personal data about parties or individuals located outside of the United States unless permitted or required by law.  If we learn that we have collected personal data from parties or individuals located outside of the United States, we will delete that information from our database unless otherwise required by law.  Any order attempted to be placed by or shipped or delivered to parties or individuals outside of the United States is void.

How We Protect Your Information

We use physical, technical and administrative measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification.  While we strive to protect the information we maintain, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to us since no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Upon expiration of the applicable retention period we will securely destroy your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Our goal is to collect, maintain and use accurate information.  Some of our Platforms or Services allow you to review and edit personal data that you entered. Please help us keep your information accurate and up-to-date by using the features on our website to correct and update your account details. Communications Preferences

Our emails contain a feature that enables you to unsubscribe from email marketing communications. Please note that you are unable to unsubscribe from emails concerning your transactions or orders or important notices regarding our Platforms, Services or your account, or communications otherwise required by law.

You can choose not to provide us personal data when you use the Platform. However if the information request is not identified as optional and you choose to not provide required personal data, then you may not be able to use the features of the Platform or receive our Services.

The inclusion of a link on the Platform does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us.  Please note that we are not responsible for the collection, usage and disclosure policies and practices (including the data security practices) of other organizations, including any personal information you disclose to other organizations through or in connection with our Platforms.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time, and we will make an updated copy of any such Privacy Policy available on our website.
